Archetypal “leader” of Irish origin, her determination got her what she wanted: victory in battle and the conquest of men. Her name means “intoxicated woman”, and she was associated with substances, like mead and mind-altering herbs. Ancient kings of Ireland married her when they came to the throne ir order that she would bestow her powerful gifts upon them.
