Serpentine is a primarily green stone, pulling in abundance and prosperity. Its color is often mixed with hues of brown, red, yellow, black or white. Its name is derived from serpentines, which translates to ‘stone snake’. Serpentine contains about twenty related minerals with two formations: antigorite (solid) and chrysotile (fibrous). Antigorites are used for metaphysical purposes, as chrysotile is a type of asbestos and can cause severe respiratory illness.
