Oshe

Positive Aspect: Brightness and glories to those who deserve them

Regent Orishas: Oshun

Keywords: Charming and elegant; likely to achieve fame; good taste and refinement; good at generating wealth; loving and sentimental; ingenious; knows how to create plans and execute them; proactive

The shine and fascination of gold defines your moment in life and you will attract glances and recognition wherever you go, walking through life as if you were on a catwalk. However, you must take care that such recognition and power do not go to your head and make you confuse ambition and greed. While the first boosts you, making you always seek the best that the world has to offer, the second awakens the worst facets of your personality – and it’s no use shining if there’s no audience to applaud you.

Your good taste and charisma, combined with the positive financial moment that shines on your path, allow you to experience the pleasures of life and recognize that if there is time to fulfill obligations there is also time for enjoyment and relaxation. The key to victory and prosperity in all aspects is learning to use your intuition and your personal magic. These are the divine powers that the Orishas have put into your life, and by learning to tap into them you will discover that unlimited happiness and abundance are at your disposal.

Oshe is also the Odu of love and relationships, of motherhood and fertility. However, to experience these blessings, you must first sincerely understand that love is based on confidence and partnership – not on demand and dependence. When you truly love yourself, rest assured: the universe will repay you and people will love you for who you are, not what you have.

Oshe’s Empowering Ritual: On a Full Moon Saturday, prepare a herbal bath by boiling sunflower seeds, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, nutmeg and a whole sunflower bud (or substitute another large, non-toxic, bright red or yellow flower if necessary). Let it cool, then strain and add a gallon (4 liters) of clear water and 21 short sprays of your favorite perfume. Using the sunflower bud as a bath sponge, soap up from head to toe then rinse off with the herbal bath.
