Negative Aspect: So afraid of what the future may be, you didn’t act

Grief and resentment mark this moment in life, and the negative influence of Odu Irossun reinforces the difficulties in forgetting and overcoming the wounds and scars of the past. With that, the smallest spark can cause an explosion of authoritarianism and violence, especially when situations get out of control and things don’t happen as you determined. In these moment, you have the feeling that the world has decided to provoke you – and you won’t allow your ability to be tested or questioned by anyone.

You carry the certainty that you are always right; after all, with so much thinking and reflecting on all the possibilities, it’s impossible that you haven’t found the absolute truth, isn’t it? No, it’s not! The challenge is to understand that there are no absolutes, and that communication is the key to recognizing your full potential. The truths of life are relative – as are the paths of everyone around you.

This excess of self confidence causes you to take on roles that should not concern you: you end up carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, which pulls you away from the people who care for you, even when your sincere desire is to care for and protect those in need. If you allow things to continue this way you will inevitably end up alone and abandoned, even in a crowd, as if despite all your efforts you seem invisible and insensitive to others.

The time has come to let go of the guilt and burden of past mistakes, and the key to overcoming these hurts is forgiveness. Learning to forgive those who have hurt you and, above all, learning to truly forgive yourself will transform your life and your ways.

Irossun’s Shadow Meditation: It seems that people around me are always aking me responsible for them and their obligations, as if I was in charge of their lives. How many times have I put myself in roles that are not mine, assuming positions where I’d rather they did things my way instead of letting them do things their way (which I believe to be wrong)?
