Rhodonite has a habit of bringing one back to their Heart center during imbalance or stressful times. Used as a stone of first-aid, her rose color warms the wearer’s heart and makes one lay their emotional wounds out and heal, regenerate, and ease burdens of pain. Its charming color provides long lasting attributes and can help empower one to reach their full potential.
First discovered in the Ural Mountains in Russia in 1790, she has been known as the “Eagle Stone” (Russian for ‘orletz’), due to an eagle’s preference to use small pieces of the stone to their nests. Given its name in 1819 by Christoph Friedrich Jasche, Rhodonite also became Russia’s national stone in 1913. Since, she has also gone by Peach Blossom Jade, Vermillion Jade, and Pink Marble.
Ideal for meditation to bring one back to center, she focuses the wearer’s gifts and energies outward in a beneficial way for all. It’s ideal for gently alerting one to something, or someone, that may not be as it seems; it lifts the veil between that which is seen and unseen, in this way. It can help to protect oneself from envy or jealousy, but casts an aura that calls for Mother Gaia to engage with it. It has shown to be effective in easing sibling rivalries and avoiding arguments over assets that are being split.
Rhodonite is said to be quite helpful in wound treatment, symptoms of emphysema and arthritis, stomach ulcers, and insect bite relief. It is beneficial to the hearing and may stimulate fertility.
