Bloodstone is a mineral that belongs to the Chalcedony species, though is not the same as your typically labeled chalcedony. It is also often mistaken for an incorrect form of Jasper, as both are part of the Chalcedony species.

This stone is also called “Heliotrope”, as its properties and benefits seem to come straight from the sun’s rays. This greenish stone holds pockets of red, often associated with its capabilities of purifying the blood and embodies the energy of courage and discernment. Invoking intuitive abilities, it assists in creation when bred from a place of energetic love and abundance, while stimulating and focusing the intellect of the mind.
