Make Your Life More Interesting

Explore the Unexpected
You can CON about the mundane aspects of your life, or you can start living. When you make an effort to develop your inner life, your outer reality expands and a fascinating new world opens for you to explore.
It can be tempting to take the easy road and hide behind what you know, but such a life is rarely interesting and never truly satisfying. This card encourages you to follow your passion and start looking for and investing in what truly inspires you. New opportunities can only come into your life when you are willing to open your mind to something different.
If you are unsure of what stimulates you, consider which aspects of your life could be expanded, reawakened or enhanced. Maybe you were great at art but let the skill slide. Perhaps you are an amazing gardener who has been too busy to spend time in nature. Maybe you love cooking, dancing, composing or writing but have been unwilling or unable to engage your creative spirit.
There is more to life than stifling routines. If you are extremely busy, you might like to allocate five, ten or fifteen minutes per day to stepping outside your current sphere of influence and engage with life on the level your soul craves.
If you have more freedom, you may decide to travel to a different part of the world or seclude yourself for a time to discover who you could become. If travel is not possible or desired, try to connect with people you would not usually spend time with and learn from them. Join a group of interest or learn a new skill that stretches your capacity. Engage with the new in your life with excitement and enthusiasm. Leave mundanity behind.
Healing Practice
To integrate the guidance of this card, you may wish to perform the following healing practice.
Exercise
Is there an area of life where you are stagnating or making excuses? Challenge yourself to doing something refreshing and interesting in this area, something that excites you and makes you slightly uncomfortable. This could be as simple as meeting new people, opening up about a hidden passion or learning a skill you have never made time for.
Even if you can’t physically do something new, take time each day to cultivate fresh ideas and see things differently. Look at a person or situation that has irritated you from another perspective. Pay attention to people you have dismissed and small wonders you have overlooked. Find something new to appreciate or do every day and you will naturally begin to value and perform tasks from a place of creativity and gratitude. Continue your habit of incorporating new into your day every day for at least a week or two.
