What you suppress, ignore and conceal rules you. You might feel safe hiding your deepest feelings, but it’s only when you gain the courage to look in the mirror and perceive the protected, often stunted, aspects of self that you allow yourself to grow. Until you take the time to tune in to yourself and have the willingness to be vulnerable, you will continue to harden your heart and keep your intuitive, sensitive side trapped.
Are you numbing yourself by pushing down your deepest feelings? Are there aspects of yourself that you have not fully seen or acknowledged? Are you holding on to an outdated narrative of victimhood that disempowers you? If so, you are being asked to examine your perspectives on life and be willing to move from a state of fear, tension and resistance to one of contentment, freedom and growth.
You may also be hiding feelings and experiences from your loved ones that need to be shared so healing can occur. You could be holding on to a dream that you fear others may not understand. Consider sharing your deepest hidden feelings with those who can hear you out and help you move forward. Give the parts of yourself which have been stunted permission to grow. Identify an aspect of yourself or your life that yearns to be shared and do so in a safe and healthy way. It could be related to becoming a more present parent or partner, a motivated business person or a more focused individual who is open to discovery. Only you know your next steps.
The time for giving without reciprocation, feeling stifled and restricted by life, has passed. Be brave. Release the heavy weight from our chest, embrace your agency and share from a place of empowerment rather than victimhood. It is time.
Healing Practice
To integrate the guidance of this card, you may wish to perform the following healing practice.
Visualization
Sit or lie down comfortably. Breathe slowly and deeply, allowing your body to relax completely. Imagine lying in a pool of healing orange water. There is a purple flame close by, flickering quietly, keeping you warm. Allow your body to soften and enjoy the experience.
Sense or imagine a funnel in the center of your chest. Acknowledge any burdens, heaviness and old perspectives that clog your heart space and allow them to be released from your body, flowing out of the funnel and into the purple flame to be cleansed.
Gently massage the point between your ring finger and middle finger on your right hand with your thumb. Massage gently in a slow, circular motion for a minute or two. While you are massaging, take deep, slow breaths. Allow your chest to fill with oxygen and exhale to expel all impurities from your chest and lungs. Repeat with your left hand.
Relax in the warm, regenerative pool for as long as feels good.
