Samhain Pasta
Ingredients
1 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon pepper
1 cup cooking wine
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon chopped bay leaf
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon dried thyme
6 ounces fettuccine, cooked
Directions
Sauté the mushrooms and onions in the butter until tender. Add the salt, pepper, and wine; simmer over low heat until the mixture is reduced by half, about 5 minutes. Stir in the cream, bay leaf, celery seed, and thyme. Bring to a low boil. Pour over pasta.
