Moonstone is a silicate combination of sodium, calcium, and aluminum. By heat, then cold treatments, its luminescence is created by light streaming between its layers created by this process, bouncing off one another until it’s seen by your eye. It can be seen most commonly as an off-white, but comes in varying shades of grey, yellowish brown, and blue-green.
Embodying the energy of its namesake, Moonstone brings a sense of calm and peace to those who work with it. Known as a stone to begin anew, it encourages you to trust your intuitive voice as you let go of a cycle whose lesson you are ready to implement. You have the knowledge within, you need only let go of the cycles that are no longer “you”.
Unite your mind, body and spirit with this stone. Align with the warmth of harmony that reminds you to regularly come back into the awareness of your intention. Moonstone urges you to release and reconcile with that which binds you to “past” versions of yourself. Sit with this stone to help alleviate the fear of such changes, as we are meant to change in a similar way to how the seasons do.
Keep Moonstone on your person while you travel for added protection or for a bit of added luck. Sit in meditation with this stone when looking to embody its qualities, or when looking for guidance from guides, ancestors, and angels. Use Moonstone to enhance divination and dream work. Not to be worn along with hessonite or cats’ eye, or emerald due to their incompatible planetary energies.
