Aquamarine has always held strong ties to the sea. Other than its crystalline, blue color, this stone has been used to keep traveling sailors protected and the fisherman’s bounty abundant, while they embark on their journeys with the sea.

The Sumerians, Hebrew, and Egyptians held this stone in a high regard as a symbol of truth and happiness. A stone of courage and protection, Aquamarine promotes verbal self-expression while calming fears and phobias. It clears blocks with communication and encourages tolerance of others by allowing for grace and letting go. It can also assist those who feel overwhelmed by a current level of responsibility.

Also used as a cure for belching and yawning, this stone has been noted to help with physical or spiritual ailments of the throat, neck, jaw, stomach, liver, and toothaches.
