Fertility is our birthright-but a genuine understanding of fertility goes beyond the ability to have children. It acknowledges that growth of any kind is our true form. Concerns about our ability to attract money or grow our businesses are contrary to the flow of fertility. Plug into the natural cycles of the seasons.

A quickening vibrates across the land,

All becomes awake and ripens,

Seeds become shoots of green,

The morning sky it brightens.

Everything is full and open,

At the ready to expand,

The dance of lushness has begun,

Fecundity is seen in all its glory in the spring.. But just before the onset of spring, there is an almost audible pause. It appears as if we are still in the depths of winter. Everything seems dead or fallow, and we don’t feel like starting anything new. Instead, we want to hibernate and do activities that are inward facing.

Then it happens! There is a quickening. The heart of the earth beats that bit faster. The soil begins to awaken from its sleep. Energy flows throughout the land. Seeds burst open. Leaves unfurl on the trees-and birds builds their nests amongst them. The daylight grows steadily longer, and everything in nature begins to glow-and grow-with fecundity.

We, too, feel the urge to release the old and get aboard the new: we shed our sinter coats, we spring clean, we lighten our loads-and our diets. We create, we take action, we reach out to others. We begin to plan for our harvest! Feeling our birthright of creation, we expand into new possibilities.
