Surviving Austerity

I am needing less, so put aside what is more.

Only taking what is required, the rest I store.

Strong, I can sit with craving and desires.

Hollowed, I don’t need to be stoking the fires.

The mystical journey is long and true,

I’ll be courageous and wander through.

Wanderer’s Wisdom

You may have very little right now. The universe is not blessing you with abundance during this season of your life. This card is asking you to make do with less, specifically money and material things. Find ways to cut expenses and sit with your desires and cravings. It comes as a lesson to look at what you need and not necessarily what you want. Step away from the temptations in life for a moment. You’ve been habitually spending precious reserves. Start to observe and be mindful of everything you use to live, awaken your conscious mind; by limiting your consumption now means you will learn to do with and cope with less, should you ever need to. It is time to take stock of what is necessary for you wellbeing and what is consumption based on greed. This is an important lesson to head as it will serve you in the future.

Take Action

This is a time to live minimally; mend and make do. Don’t purchase excess things;  focus on what you truly need: food, water, electricity, and love. You may be spending too much money, buying too many things, your resources could serve a better cause. IT is not the time to gamble or invest your money in anything risky, regardless of the potential return.

Winter Revealed

This is the season of restraint, reflection, conservation of energy, protection, planning and solitude. With the elements of the wind and water dictating what we can do and when winter can also be a time of angst or frustration. This incredible season with all it has to teach us is also a time in which self-preservation and patience can be mastered.
