Coyote
Playing Tricks
I’m puzzled, does this mean good or bad luck?
My mind freezes, my thoughts remain stuck.
I must go inward and seek out the proof.
See past all the tricks to reveal the truth.
The mystical journey is long and true,
I’ll be courageous and wander through.
Wanderer’s Wisdom
Trickery is rather an odd thing, love. It can be harmless, good fun, and it can also be misleading or hurtful. The coyote has always been the master trickster, sometimes a sign of good luck other times a symbol of caution. This card can come at a time to say go out, play, and have fun, or it can be a warning that you are being played. A situation needs to be approached gingerly. These are hard times to know what is real and what is truly an illusion. Coyote is testing your ability to distinguish between the two. Can you dive deep into your intuition? What is good fun, and what is being manipulated by people with detrimental intentions? This is your test, roll the dice wisely. Look for subtle clues, messages, and hints to lead you in the right direction. Trust your gut instincts during this time; it will not fail you.
Take Action
Are the people’s intentions surrounding you pure? Are your intentions harmful to others? Assess each situation, look for trickery before proceeding for the next few weeks. Remember that playing pranks or being involved in deception is not always meant to be harmful but may end up that way. Do not participate in anything that doesn’t resonate with you.
Coyote Revealed
In much of the North American mythology, Coyote represents the archetypal “trickster.” He can appear both as animal and as human with extensive powers, not only over others but equal to even the original creator beings. Coyote’s presence in humanity’s creation, existence, and teachings is critical as he often takes up the role of the “villain” for life lessons to be understood and learned.
