Heart of Sorrows
Only by pulling the sword from your stone can you break free of life-limiting patterns and bring your dreams into reality.
Keywords: truth, liberation, release
Even though we can see the sword, we don’t always work to pull it out. For some, this card may represent an addiction to pain and the inability to break out of a seemingly endless cycle. This brings us to a question regarding suffering: is it a learned pattern, some form of spell we have cast upon ourselves through self-loathing or non-acceptance or simply a cry for help? This card will assist in deciphering your own dark sense of indebtedness and release yourself from the burden of pain. Once you have recognized the source of your sorrow, sit with the knowledge that although the sorrow was unasked for, recognizing it allows you to break its spell.
Heart Practice: Sit comfortably. Visualize light from above encompassing your body and anchoring it to the earth core. Surround yourself with rose pink or emerald green light and focus your attention on the heaviness of the burden in your heart. Begin to walk through this heart cave, revealing the sword in the stone. As you feel ready for release, pull the sword from the stone and allow the pink or green light to enter the hole in the stone as well as your heart.
