The Chukchi tribe live in eastern Siberia near the Bering Sea. DNA research has found them to be the closest cousins of the first Americans. These people bred the Siberian husky from the grey wolf as a working dog and pet. Very loving and intuitive, the Huskies live with and are a part of the family, and the dogs can be trusted with and also guard the children. The shamanka’s connection to the spiritual world enriches the lives of the tribe and her family.
