Sacred Tunic Cross

Sometimes, new knowledge compels us to rethink the accepted paradigm. More possibilities may come to light. Take time to reconsider.

Southern Cornwall is the only place on Earth where hundreds of tunic crosses are found. They are unique as they depict Christ alive and as a child. In ecclesiastical symbolism, a bent head described death, and a forward-facing posture portrayed the living. The larger head and outward-turning feet indicated a child. The figure wears a Roman-style tunic. Place names and traditions are linked to tales of Jesus journeying to Cornwall as a child, with his lead and tin trading uncle. The crosses, some dating from before the seventh century CE, were erected to commemorate those visits. Travelers from foreign lands often bring new knowledge and ideas that stimulate and inspire growth. An outside influence could alter your current thoughts and affect a decision.
