Archetypal “defender” of Roman origin, Aradia was the daughter of Diana and Apollo. She was known as “the Goddess of Witches” because she was sent to teach people (especially the poor and oppressed) how to perform witchcraft and magic, and to defend them against oppression, exploitation, and ridicule.
