Cerridwen Revealed

This goddess is an archetypal “rescuer” of Welsh origin. Her first born son was so hideous that she concocted a potion in her magical cauldron, Awen, to make him a poetic genius so he would be valued in some way rather than ostracized for his appearance. Sadly, her servant accidentally drank the potion. She devoured him as punishment and then gave birth to a most beautiful boy.
