Forgiveness-Heart Chakra

Forgiveness is a gift to oneself. It’s sad that the person who is hardest on us is often ourselves. We react unconsciously much of the time, and while we are raising our levels of consciousness, we must forgive ourselves for those times when we act without love and compassion, for we are running from our subconscious mind and healing the journey of many lifetimes. Most of us hold deep hurt and fear, and holding onto these will create more of the same experiences. Sadly, we are prone to reject or disown our own difficulties; in a desire for self-preservation, our ego steps in, and we project our wounds onto those we love.
There is someone or something you need to forgive now. Free yourself from anger and blame, and set others free, too. Release ideas of perfection; we need only be good enough. If we can forgive ourselves and others, we will be able to move closer to love and compassion. God, or Great Spirit, does not punish, and neither should you. Nurture your wounds, and call for healing. It will serve you to practice forgiveness at this time.
Action: Align with the beliefs on the card, perhaps with the intention of forgiving a specific someone. If you have the book Working with Chakras for Belief Change, turn now to the Forgiveness protocol in the Resources. This is a powerful protocol for your liberation. Alternatively, us Ho’oponopono*, the Hawaiian forgiveness practice, to assist this time. Sit quietly, and repeat mindfully: “I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.” Add in “I forgive you”, if necessary.
