This embattled path has no place for me,

for I will not be so easily tricked, you see.

There is so much the universe has in store;

other things, better aligned with my core.

Wanderer’s Wisdom

Someone is trying to reel you in. They are offering a new way, paved with riches, clever words, even the promise of undivided devotion. All this and more tempt you away from your true path. Do not take this bait, instead identify this temptation and choose not to engage. It is not you. This person wants to coax you into a place of judgment, a place that is difficult to navigate, a place that your soul does not sit. If you feel the familiar presence of manipulation, do not indulge or panic. Stand in your own space, remind yourself of what your truth is and leave this bait dangling. This is difficult, it is so tempting to reach out and grab the instant gratification of the lure, but gratification will only last moments. Keep the self-control and discipline that you have been so eagerly working on. This is a test, turn away, and continue on your journey unchanged.

Take Action

Someone may be trying to engage you in conflict or make you accept an offer you genuinely do not want. Separate your desires from those of others. It is not best to gossip or make new alliances during this time.

Bait Revealed

There is very little positive energy around ‘bait’; the blatant inducement to get someone to do, say, or believe something that goes against their better judgment or is detrimental to them. Animals in the context of ‘baiting’ always come off badly, and is most often related to ‘blood sports’. Though the bait that may be used can present itself may be more like a tasty carrot, than wriggly maggots, it’s still being used to trap, remember that.
