Prostration

Prostration

Honor Yourself

What does this body need from me?

It’s okay to question and seek the key.

What practices will now suit me best

It may be movement, acceptance, or rest.

The mystical journey is long and true,

I’ll be courageous and wander through.

Wanderer’s Wisdom

Self-worship can look like many different things. For some, it could be the word “no,” for another a candlelit bath or an early morning oil massage. What’s important is that you find your way of self-worshipping. Ask the sisters around you, your community members, and ask yourself. How do you do self-worship? What feels the best? Self-worship fills the beautiful chalice that is you, full of unconditional love and then that chalice can pour onto others, spreading that love even further. This card is calling for you to take care of your needs and make yourself a priority in some way. Maybe it starts as a small form of worship, but from there, your practice grows, and so does your ability to be of service to others. It is time to take care of you first and foremost, with no exceptions. To continue moving forward, you need your body, spirit, and mind healthy.

Take Action

Drop the needs of others around you and focus on yourself. What kind of self-care are you craving? Do you know what fills you up? Pause, you are depleting yourself, rest is needed. Find a stay-cation or travel time to recuperate from the hardships you have endured lately.

Prostration Revealed

As an act of veneration, it exceeds the acts of bowing and kneeling by involving a part of the body above the knee touching the ground, especially the hands. It is believed to be beneficial for practitioners by purifying defilements, preparing for meditation, and accumulating karmic merit. Recognizing and respecting your divinity is now called for.
