Personal Power
Channeled through my staff, this power burns,
as each and every scattered piece of me returns.
Now in charge of where my energy goes,
like water, cutting through stone as it flows.
The mystical journey is long and true,
I’ll be courageous and wander through.
Wanderer’s Wisdom
We often give away our personal power. We tend to spread ourselves and our energy across many different activities or people. Some of these things are dear to our hearts, while others are unwanted, and we feel that gut distaste when we invest our time into them. This card is asking you to treat your energy like currency. To take an inventory of where you are spending your life force and ask if these undertakings feel right or if they feel bad. I truly believe we only have so much life force, and where we spend it is important. You have a right to determine where your essence goes, and owning your energy creates healthy boundaries. Take a moment to reclaim the pieces of yourself that have been given away. Draw them back and envision them filling the patches of your energetic body. You deserve to be whole, and you deserve to have power over your life.
Take Action
This card is asking you to practice power “within” instead of power “over.” You may be giving yourself away, rather than keeping yourself whole. Consider the importance of budgeting your energetic currency. Do you feel drained or unfulfilled? Make a list of things that need your attention and things that can wait.
Staff Revealed
Most commonly regarded as a tool of support and a conduit of energy, the first recorded use of a staff was in Egypt. In modern spiritual practice, a staff is used to cast a circle for protection and as an aid to navigating the mystical path. Used for millennia by prophets, royalty, high priests, and priestesses, this extension of personal power is an ultimate symbol of authority.
