Wanderer
Journey Well
Walking tentatively along a path unseen.
Do I really dare to visualize this dream?
So many things this world has to give,
and my soul needs to see them all to live.
The mystical journey is long and true,
I’ll be courageous and wander through.
Wanderer’s Wisdom
Here you are, a drifter. Someone who walks against the grain, a wanderer. You may have dreams and goals, but this card is asking you to either take a step back from those or pause before you begin. Find some space to find out who you truly are before pursuing the stars. Go exploring, go wandering throughout the world, or the city you live in. Travel, find new places, new scenes, and new people. Try many different things! Here you have the trusted wolf companion by your side, protecting you from anything lurking in the dark. The cloaked figure represents you becoming undone from all the things you thought you were. Begin anew, blank slated, and let your wandering become you. Let your experiences form new perspectives, new thoughts; maybe they’ll bring forth a part of you that you never knew existed. Go wander, be strong, powerful, and unafraid. Perhaps a bigger and better dream will surface through your experiences.
Take Action
Be sure your dreams are indeed yours. Take some time to cultivate your identity. Who are you? It is time to travel and explore new things. See if unbecoming and then re-becoming changes from who you thought you were.
Wanderer Revealed
Self-discovery and life experience are at the root of a wanderer’s purpose. The wanderer within is reflected in our need to discover the who, where and why of our existence and how that connects us to everything else. For some, the “wanderer” element can be so overpowering that it becomes challenging to settle down or accept life as it is, which can lead to self-destructive behavior.
